How lovely does she sound!! I'm not in the least put off by her age as I got my old pony when he was 24 and had almost 12 years of fun with him.. But ohhhhhhh I shouldn't be looking yet really.. besides is Oxfordshire quite a distance from Essex? xx

Doesn't she sound perfect Loonypops.. I just showed Dan and I didn't get an outright 'not a hope'
I just think she looks/sounds adorable and if the ad is true she sounds just what I want for Grace! xx

ohh she's so cute!! I want her!
I must admit, I just couldn't sell a 24 year old pony, but obviously don't know the circumstances..

I couldn't either - I think people who sell their oldies on are just heartless! How can you NOT give a golden oldie who has given you SOOOO much and appears to be worth double her weight in gold a forever home?! And that little face... xx

She sounds like a really good pony. The age wouldn't put me off if it's for a young child as they are more likely to be a steady pony for a kid to learn with:).

If I win the lotto I'll buy her for grace.
She seems really sweet, I wonder how long they have had her?

LIBBY!!!!!!!!! :P :P :P :P ( I hadn't thought of that.. Gotta go offline for a bit.. JOKE!!)
Micki - thats what I thought, Grace is only 19 months (coming up 16 in her mind already lol) so a real steady eddie is exactly what I'd love to get! xx

There's nothing at all wrong with selling a 24 year old pony! She has loads of love and life to give yet. It would be such a waste to retire a pony at just 24!

BUY! BUY! BUY!
Defo agree, special treatment is obviously needed and you can get Grace a perfect wee pony. I think you are paying for the bombproofness tbh so age would certainly not put me off!

I would pay anything pretty much to know (as much as you can know with a living creature) that I am getting a safe and genuine pony!
ZM I guess you're right but at 24 I'd want to give her a forever and ever home and make sure she was loved and looked after til the end of her days!! Maybe I'm just too soft! xx

Sweet little thing!
Age is technically against her, however pootling around wont do her any harm at all, and shetties often do live to such grand ages [mine certainly has!!]
I think you should go for it. You will make her such a happy pony :)

Grrrr - well after speaking about it seriously last night its agreed that we won't start looking until March/April time so this little gem will be sold by then I should imagine!!
But am positive the right pony will come along when we're ready xx

It might be worth pointing out to the hubby that prices go up in the spring and this one is such a bargin as it comes with everything and you wouldnt have to spend a penny on it.

The age certainly wouldn't put me off, for a child you are much better getting a veteran pony that has been there done everything than an unpredictable youngster. The price is reasonable as it includes her full wardrobe.

That was my thinking Helena.. I want to know that whatever I buy is going to be as close to bombproof as possible!! xx
