I enjoyed the Cheltenham trials on saturday, hope you all watched? did anyone have there minds changed on tips for Cheltenham festival after watching it? I thought was an excellent days racing and gave me a few horses to keep in mind come march 9mainly as ew squeaks lol) I just loved watchign Mister McGoldrick brave as anything finishing a gallent 3rd at 13 years of age, I don't think he will win come March but for sentimental reasons always put a bet on him at Cheltenham as he seems to love it there.

I thought Taranis was amazing and think although it was hard to tell how good he is that Carruthers is a reasonable horse and he trounced him easily. i know he is no Kauto Star but i think he has an excellent EW shot and who knows what might happen?

Also can't not mention Tidal Bay, so glad he back over hurdles seemed so much happier and a good performance, but i also was impressed with katchit I know he was not close to winner but think he will be better on better ground.

On a final note the 100-1 shot can't spell his name and can't be bothered looking it up well that was a shock. Has excellent bloodlines but he finished last in a Grade 2, 2nd last (I think) in a grade 3 then just won a grade 1? turn up for the books and vast improvement, I am just gutted whenever I have a 100-1 shot on it never wins lol

I was very impressed by Taranis, he absolutely cruised home, he's a tool. I think it's a real possibility that Nicholls will train the first 4 this year, Denman, Kauto, What a Friend and Taranis. I do think Imperial Commander could cause an upset though, I'm having an e/w on him in it, especially after reading Paddy Brennan really fancies him.

I was disappointed with Lough Derg too.
