I recently bought a wintec isabell for magic and when he keeps still it seems to fit him well, the whole saddle is in contact with his back. The trouble is being a cob he has big shoulders and they seem to push the saddle about, it lifts slightly and sort of swings side to side a bit when he walks. One of the girth straps is a point strap and the front feels overly tight all the way down apart from where the tree is, that feels about right. Could it be that it's too tight at the front because of the point strap pulling it down?

What a shame, I was hoping that you had found the perfect saddle for him, you seemed really pleased when you first got it and it looks lovely on him. I have no advice but hope you can get it sorted. :(

Thanks VM, it is a shame :( I'll be getting it checked out to see if any flocking can be taken away. I love that saddle and i don't intend to let it go without seeing if anything can be done first lol. He isn't showing any signs of being uncomfortable in it yet so i'll have to see how it goes.

my saddler says that a little movement in a saddle is correct and better than a totall stiff and still saddle cause Ollies moves a little being really big moving if you think it is jamming in behind his shoulder a bit or lifting too much behind try moving your girthing around although this might mean it slips a little if he is overlly barrel like

Thanks S&W, i'll have to get a saddler to adjust the girthing as it only has the one option. I've spoken to another cob owner who has an isabell and her fitter had to mess with the girthing.
