XC training with Taran!!

Hiya all!

Well today, after I have had a week off riding (Taran has been kept ticking over by a friend of mine!) My lovely OH set up a 'mini' XC course around our fields as I have been thinking of entering the Hunter Trials at Plas Uchaf on the North Wales Coast in 2 weeks time...

Hmmm... it will be my first XC comp since I was 18 (er, 10 years ago) and Taran's first ever XC event! He has been round the course in Feb... which was well interesting!

For the newbies - Taran is 14.2, reg. Welsh Cob, 15 years old and started jumping 18 months ago. I am a bit of wimp when it comes to jumps sometimes! :lol:;)

Oh the ditch! This is BIG ditch! We did jump it! I am ok with the smaller ones but this one scares the hell out of me!

Awww thank you! I didn't have too much confidence today - he had a real freak out at the tyres (silly boy!) but altogether pleased with him - despite him bolting into a jump! I think we need some more lessons ! :lol:
