Help, work experience for college

I am currently a student at Warwickshire college, Moreton Morrell, doing an National Diploma in horse managment.

As a part of the course i have to do a 3 months work experience placement starting at the end of May this year, i appreciate its close but ive been trying to find a place for ages and nothings seems to be turning up for me :(

I will be 17 at the time of placement and would love to go to a stud if possible, however im open to anything

It is completely un paid work, im dedicated, quick working and willing to learn

i did my work at a stud and there are loads of people that came to work over summer as its the busiest time of year for studs, stud work is great its really rewarding varried and interesting although very hardwork

Try emailing around alot of studs, if you dont mind moving away from home then there are hundreds around that are happy for a spare pair of hands, at my old job we had sometimes five work expereince students on some from the local college some from others and even a few from France!

found a few new places to email so fingers crossed :)
i know i cant wait to go cuz i'll learn so much, seems people are struggling to commit to the 3 months of having me though, which is understandable!

if you cant get one for the whole three months why not spend a month at each yard? or split it between two or something? if you get onto a good yard they will be able to teach you and you will learn a lot in that amoutn of time and will also expereince toehr yards and their ways of working

I am doing work experience this June after GCSEs... i just emailed loads of eventers in the top 100 BE rankings, got plenty of replies... just email lots of them and you should get replies!

I have done a ND in Horse mangement. If you don't mind travelling (based in Essex), My college takes on students for work placements.

PM me for more details if you are interested. Im sure I can find out some more info for you on other studs up and down the UK, if you needs some help.
