We have just bought a 7 year old 14,2 Irish x chesnut mare and think we may have got a bargain! It would be interesting to know what you guys think she is worth!
She competed with her last owner mainly in 3ft show jumping classes but won chase me charlie by jumping 4ft 8. She has been x country and flown round 2ft 9 courses. She hadn't done much hacking with last owner but we have taken her out and had a bus and tractor come past and she hasn't batted an eye. She prefers to hack in company but will under initial protest go out alone and will definately be fine with practise.
She can be a impatient when standing still and tacking up but is getting better. She is fine to clip and shoe and passed her vetting with flying colours! She isn't a novice ride but when out hacking is happy to stay behind when galloping (unlike Rhia who has to go in front otherwise bucks and leaps). She was ridden in a pelham but we are going to change her to a snaffle as although she looks strong, she has very soft mouth!
Thanks for oppinions!
