I'd like to say god bless you all who've lost a horse, only us horse fanatics understand how devastating it is. I've been around horses for 32 yrs now, they're my life but as a skint single mother i only own one (can but dream eh!) I lost Zara in July of last year, she simply stumbled when getting up after lying down in the field, snapped a small bone in her knee, had to be put to sleep immediately (shock isn't the word.) Zee was 20, i bought her in 2006 as a happy hack, she had arthritis but always totally sound, she had other problems (i attract horses with issues, ha!) She was strictly 1 to 1, due to past abuse she trusted no one but me & snarled a lot, kicked/bit any stranger who approached her, almost crippled the farrier. So she was not easy, there were testing times but my daughter & i adored her, she was loyal, level headed & sooo pretty (pics to follow.) I've bought a new horse, also a veteran who's had several homes & not been treat well in the past, starting to bond with her but it still hurts when i look at pics of ZeeZee, miss you much darling x

You're all so kind x
I had Zara ( aka ZeeZee) tattooed on my chest, stung a bit (a lot!) so she's kinda always with me.
