Ah I know it's nice to have your space, but a school and hacking buddies would be lush!! I'm not looking for a huge yard, just something smallish! Only an idea at the momen t anyway!! Couldn't get someone in as it's dads fields etc and being the lovely farmer he is he hates horses and reckons they're a waste of money!!! xxx

im on oxfordshire/gloucestershire so here you go:
sh1tty farm which is more like a junk yard is £30 grass livery, not including anything else
lovely yard is £30 with great facilities- 2 SJing courses, XC, arena etc. and that is for a stable and a paddock....
and then you have somewhere which runs events which is £7.95 a day including all their facilites- indoor/outdoor arena, XC course, gallops etc.
£130 per month for all inclusive at a yard with good facilities but no bedding.
grass livery can be £40 with lots of facilites
so sort of varies tbh! there isn't really a set price at all in our area as it is very much down to the yard etc. although first yard mentioned is wayyyyyyyyyyyy over priced! but there we go! :) hope that has helped a bit

I'm in South Oxfordshire and rates for yard I'm at (at Goosey, near Wantage) are:

Grass Livery - £3.10 per day ie £21.70 per week (under 14hh) , £3.40 per day ie £23.80 per week 14hh and over

DIY Stable with straw and hay or haylage £6.10 per day ie £42.70 per week.

If you wanted to keep your horse on shavings or rape straw then they do:

DIY Stable with hay or haylage £5.85 per day (£40.95 per week) and you can buy the shavings or rape straw on-site.

They have:

Floodlit all-weather outdoor 40m x 20m arena
Floodlit all-weather outdoor 40m x 30m arena
Floodlit grass arena
Plastic show jumps for arena use
Horse walker
Large show jump field with wooden show jumps
Cross country fences
Sheltered tie up areas
Locakable tack room
Storage space for feed, etc
Refreshment facilities
Lorry and trailer parking
Muck heap
All year turnout

There's no extra charge for using these facilities.

Thats not too bad. Im hoping to get a horse on loan again, and have always used the same yard (buckinghamshire) but not sure if theyll have room for me. Theyre cheap - £100 a month incl hay and straw (as most of it is made there) but the school isnt very good.

Im in a bit of a pickle cos Im going to look at some horses to loan, but if I go back to the yard they would have me back but it would have to be a live out jobby for the time being at least as theres no stables free ahhhh
