Not totally but from the show ring, I will be placing him with a nice young man who will jump him and not pound him.
After struggling for years to get him working I have got to the end of my patience and at a loss as to what to do.
I took him to one of the biggest shows in the country and didn't even get him in a class due to him just locking up and not working in any form that was pleasant. He just didn't want to be there.
I have now decided that Daniel the dressage horse is now going to be Daniel the poofy show pony.:p
He has been clipped as only a show pony knows clipping and started work and I am in the process of lining up some shows for him. He hasn't been out for 2 years so will be a shock to the system and that is to a dressage comp.
It won't be nice quiet dressage comps but noisy shows so if you don't hear from me he didn't cope.:cheekywink: He hasn't been shown since he was 4yo, so 6 years.

I'm so glad you're back. What a shame that Roo doesn't like showing as he is so pretty.

I hope Daniel takes to showing though, will you post some pictures of him soon?

Sorry about Roo, he's beautiful, send him me for my next happy hacker! I'll have the best looking horse to toddle around on!! Good for you that you recognised he doesn't like it, many people carry on showing/jumping etc. horses that don't enjoy it, glad that you've done what's best for him.
