Not really sure where to put this. My saddle is kept at home and my Dad has asked me how much it's worth for insurance purposes (i think it needs to be specified on the policy). It's an english made, english leather gp saddle (can't remember the make but think it's GFS). I got it 2nd hand and it had been barely used however it had been left in a shed so had got damp but the leather wasn't damaged or marked by this. It's in good condition but has some minimal damage to the stitching (I assume getting damp probably shortened the stitchings life) plus a few tiny scuff marks from general wear and tear. I really have no idea what it would be worth so any ideas would be v much appreciated!

This is the best pic I have of it:

Thanks!

I think with regard to insurance purposes for tack it's worth insuring for what it would cost to replace should it be lost. So to buy a 2nd hand GFS I recon you'd be looking at around £350 - £450. Depends how much it whacks your premium up really as to what you want to say it's worth.

Thanks everyone. I was thinking somewhere in the region of £400-£500 to replace it, I only paid £250 for it because it was from the friends who pretty much gave me Mac and they had no use for it and were happy for me to have it rather than it rotting in a shed.
