horses SHOT in NW- a warning please read.

i am totally shocked to post this.
last night some mindless mental idiot(s) shot several horses while they were grazing. one poor thing was shot several times.
they think with an air rifle.
the horses are being treated and the police have been informed.
there was another case locally several weeks ago within 5miles, also a horse at grass with an air rifle....
we have had one trailer theft last week and one attempted trailer theft (saved by bulldog lock).
some copper cabling had gone from our yard that week too.

just please be extra vigilant and try to come down all different times to keep an eye on your horses and stuff as best you can.....
this is the north west (N wales/ Wirral area)

Id love to get my hands on these thugs and give them some of their own treatment..some people dont deserve to live.

That is sick. Hope the horses recover ok. I think its a real shame that crimes like this dont carry the same as a punishment... maybe if we stood them in a field & shot at them they'd realise how it feels.

Oh why do they do this? I just do not understand it at all.

Just this morning I was chatting to a friend who keeps her horses about 5 miles away from me along the A470 (main road from South to North Wales) She was telling me that last year she was riding along that road when a car passed her and a young lad shot some pellets at her horse from a pellet gun!! Luckily her horse is quite sensible and only bolted down the grass verge for a couple of metres. Police were informed as they got the car reg. How awful. I think if that happened if I was riding Jakes I probably wouldn't be here now. So glad I keep them away from stupid/horrible people.

Oh god this has made me sick to my stomach. I never hear many bad things happening to horses around here but I suppose with all the scum that live in certain areas it's bound to happen. I wish I could keep Saffy in my apartment or something.

There is nothing that makes my blood boil more than abuse of animals and children :mad: If it happened to my child or my animals, a very dark side of me would reveal itself and I would have no control over it!!!!

Lets hope the ******** are caught by horsey people and dealt with !

There are some real sicko's out there, they should all be shipped off to some island alone, no one wants people like that around, so they should all be taken out of society in my opinion

well people have kept an eye on things- we had to police out and a gang of lads on one of the lanes were dispersed..

She hadnt gathered up her reins either but managed to sort herself out. She aimed for a bus shelter thinking the horse would stop but it didnt. She was thrown off, knocked out and had severe injuries to her face.

Yes they shot from a house next to the road. It wasnt until later that when the horse was caught and taken home to be checked out that a vet found the puncture wound on his bum. Its weird we were only talking about this the other week.
