I disturbed 3 would be horse theives at 6 am this morning.
They were carrying rope halters and fiddling with the gate/fence at some stables near mine.
I have to get out and unlock a gate to our lane which is next to this stables gate, and I saw the men in my headlights. They ran off at top speed when they saw my car.

This is in Morecambe, so anyone nearby beware. From what I saw they looked like travellers, which is ironic, as the stables they were trying to break into is owned by some notorious travellers so the thieves can't be local as they'd know better than to steal from them!

Rhea, Morecambe's on the coast in the north-west, about 30 miles from Blackpool, 60 miles north from Manchester.

I think they knew what they were going for as there are several very nice coloured show cobs there, one alone will be worth over £5k.

I told the travellers last night what had happened, they said they're leaving their dogs loose in future.
