Dave was really keen to have a ride on Bailey today so although I've only ridden him once myself I thought I'd let him - aren't I generous!
So Bailey was really good in the school, did exactly as he was told although he was looking around him a lot again.
Then we went for a short ride out, just along a path, no roads although he did have to go over a little wooden bridge and he was fine! BUT as soon as we turned round to come back Bailey started prancing and wanting to go faster. Dave felt very uncomfortable and wanted to get off so I hopped on instead. He still tried to do it but I obviously managed to control him a lot better and we eventually got a fairly calm walk!
So here are the pics (none with me on him, sorry!):

We've ridden quite a bit on holiday for the last couple of years but he's never had any lessons or anything. I think he's quite a natural actually!

:D I've just told my OH how brave your OH is and he said grumpily 'that's not brave' so I said 'well you aren't brave enough to ride Chip' to which he answered, 'I can easily ride Chip, I just have no interest in riding him' they get soooo jealous when you say how great and brave someone elses OH is

Ha, my OH says the same, he is always 'busy' when I ask him if he would go for a ride on my old boy. He speaks to the horses like dogs, he tells them to 'stay'. lol

Why do men always look natural up on horses?!
i know what you mean
for a laugh i booked my b/f in for a lesson at a riding school, he had never rode before, before he met me he was scared of horses, and still is, even tho he would bring OG back in from the feild for me :innocent:
anyway, he took to it like duck to water, before then end of his first lesson, he was troting round the indoor off the lunge and had the horse working in a nice outline
Men........Blah! lol

lol I've only had him 10 days and he's all mine! Thank you, he is lovely, he was nuzzling up to me today!
Yes Lois still rides but she hasn't been having lessons, just occasional rides out on ponies. She starts her group lessons this Sunday though at the yard where I keep Bailey!

They look really good!
Chuckling at you guys teasing your OH's lol. I might have to have a go at that although If Sean sat on Zeb I think Zeb would sit down with all that weight! lol
I heard it's actually easier for men to ride cos of the shape of their hips or something?

Bailey looks so sweet, but you must post some photos of you on board!!
Tracey you made me laugh. My dad always used to say there was no horse fast enough for him to want to ride :)
