does anyone know of reasonably priced webbing bridles? I need (want!) to get one for B in our colours for trec. I've seen really nice ones that plas equestrian do but they are expensive.

I was wanting one that converts to a headcollar, like the endurance ones, as B wears a martingale so if I have a normal bridle on him for competition I need to have a headcollar on underneath for the lead sections.

I've had a wee look on ebay but not come up with anything.

Any ideas??

I got a webbing bridle on eBay last year that doesn't fit my horse (despite being full-size) it's lilac...

Didn't cost me much, so I don't want much for it!

I bought a black extra full size as a replacement and it's too big! :miffed:

I had the purple bridle, with reins, that turns into a head collar, what I found was a awkward fit! really didn't fit my lad right at all so had to sell it, its a shame as it was lush! with plaited brow band and nose band.

I thought about buying the ones with the black clips but after having someone almost lose there horse because it kept coming undone it put me off the idea.

hey, thanks everyone.

Rhea - I've seen those plaited ones, they look nice.

Interesting what everyone is saying about the fit of webbing bridles... maybe I'd be as well forking out the bit extra for one that is possibly better quality?? (well, you'd hope it would be better quality!!)

I'm not sure about convertable bridles, but I had a Libby's web clip bridle (in pink may I add ;)) and I loved it  so lightweight and easy to just chuck in the washing machine the reins came up very short though which was a pain but it wasnt bad for around £17

Saying that! I have a bright blue one and its fab, not sure what brand it is though sorry.

The plaited one I think was made my cottage craft, it was full size, what size is Brandy? the smaller ones might be ok.

Surprisingly some Plas bridles ive fitted havent been too great of a fit, or libbys for that matter! They tend to suit more finer faced horses.

I love zilco bridles. Personally i wouldnt use a webbing bridle for riding, would prefer it to break if something happened!

B's a pony size bridle etc rhea.

I'm thinking I might just have to practice riding him in his bridle with a head collar underneath and no nose band (he can be a bit of a *** without a nose band, but if we both get used to it then it should be fine!)
