Default I'm really missing my horse :(

I don't post on here often but no-one else will understand!

My horse has gone to another yard to be backed and i'm really missing him It's only been a week but this weekend it's really hit me, even though I see him yesterday.

Ahh how much longer will he be away? It is good that you can still visit him though. Think of how much fun you can have together once he is back

5 more weeks, You're right, I need to think about the outcome and the fun once he is home. It's just really hard as I have only been apart from him for a week max when I go camping but I know he is still at home with his friends. I feel like I've abandoned him!

You know you've done what is best for him, so try not to feel guilty. You'll have so much fun together when he comes back and until then maybe you should see if the breaking yard will let you get slightly involved in his backing when you visit? It'll help keep things consistent with what they're doing when he returns to you and you'll feel like you are still doing stuff with him so maybe miss him less? Try not to think its 5 weeks away, as soon as you don't concentrate on how long it is, it'll come around in no time.

Echo was away for 5 weeks when he was backed. I tried to go up as often as I could to see him, but it was difficult at the time so I only managed about twice a week and then it was just a fleeting visit.

He couldnt' have cared less!!! Just try to enjoy a bit of "me" time while he's away!!

It good your missing him, just shows how much you love him - 5 weeks will pass quicly and the outcome will be worth it.

Aw thank you everyone I was back at work today so it was a bit easier. I guess I am lucky that I can go and see him, although only once a week now.

Grey haven, I know I should enjoy some me time, but I am just moping! I should be lapping up the lack of responsibility!
