Default Competiting other people's horses - Who has the rosettes?

If you ask someone to take your horse in a show ring and they get placed? Or if you have a sharer?

Its entirely up to them. My friend was selling a mare for someone and he kept all the rossetes he won before she was sold. He is now riding a horse for other owners, and they kepp the rossettes.

I like to keep rosettes when any of mine are placed, however I pay for the classes. Ive let my cousin take the medals home that shes won, i just want the rosettes to keep them all together- they are my cousins, with her name on the back, but are with the rest of the rosettes. She is happy with this. If I took a horse in a class for someone I would let them keep the rosette to go with their horse. I kinda think they should stay with the horse (not that the horse cares!)

Well, I came 2nd jumping someone elses pony, I let them have the rosette, I came 3rd with Oscar this year in riding club horse and Prelim 4 dressage test and both those rosettes are at yard ( they were on his stable door but have been removed for now as the doors have all been varnished) Basil cmae first last year with me on the end of his leadrope in the inhand veteran , his name and my name are on the trophy and I kept the rosette, this year he came fist again with cheryls mum and it will be her name and basils on the trophy and basils rosette was on his stable door too but not at the mo due to decorating

So yeah I suppose its up to everyone involved!! lol!!!

When I show other peoples' horses, they keep the rosettes.

I won close to 20 rosettes and medals over the summer and they all stayed with the horses I won them on/with. When I won high percentage I got some brushes that I took myself because the barn owner who owned the horse I won on didn't want them.

They did offer to let me take them at the end of the summer but I think they belong to the horse that won them.

When I pay someone to show Dina, I keep the rossettes, however, if it was a sharer and they had prepared or helped to prepare the horse and paid the entry fees then I think they are entitled to keep the rosettes.

If Gorgia rides my horses she always gives any rosettes to me. I pay her to ride the horse and pay for the entries.

I feel like we should keep them because we own the horse that won it but then I feel guilty not to give the person anything.

I wanted to try and find someone to show them for me.

Thanks girls.
