Smile Toggi Jodhpur Boots?

I need to get a new pair of jodhpur boots and am torn between which Toggi ones to buy, the Augusta, Stratford, or Richmond? Just wondering if anyone has a pair of these boots and how they like them? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

The Augusta are very nice. They don't look much from the "official" picture but they are a good boot, very smart. Although they are not "technical" in the sense like ariats are with the fancy footbead and stuff like that!

Don't know why i took this pic, was ages ago^^^

I really dont rate them! Mine were wrecked after a couple of months, and yes i am riding quite alot(4/5 a day) but i do expect them to last. The soles of mine are falling to pieces and the really haven't held up at all!

LOVE them - the Augusta.

I ride 4 a day, muck out and compete in them. I find the zips go after 6 months, stitching after a year or so. Not had the soles go yet.

I live in my jodhpur boots and they are somewhat abused (ie rarely cleaned), walk through muddy fields with them on all the time, etc and after buying a few pairs of Toggi boots I found they were only lasting me 3-4 months maximum before the soles split, the tops started to crack and split, or the tops started to split away from the soles. Even in summer when the fields weren't muddy I didn't find they lasted much longer.

A friend persuaded me to buy some Ariats and although these suffer the exact same abuse, they usually last me for at least a couple of years compared to 3 or 4 months. So a pair of more expensive ariats work out cheaper for me in the long run.

If you aren't living in your jodhpur boots then they may well last you longer than they do with me, but it seems from other replies I'm not the only one whose found they don't last. I'd never have anything other than Ariats now.

Thanks the replies so far! I have the Ariat boots and am just not happy with them, mine fell apart within 6 months and I don't ride every day. I was trying to find a different brand to go with and thought the Toggi Augusta's looked nice, but now I am wondering if I should maybe look into their more expensive boot? Or can anyone recommend another brand that I could try?

Thanks
