Default A few old pictures I found

I only joined a last week, but thought i'd post a few pics I have found from my younger horsey years.

I think this was probably my first ever time on a pony. Excuse the riding attire, I was on a family holiday to wales I think.

This one is of my old pony Star, she was an ex showjumper and she was about 12yrs old when I first got her and 13.2hh

These 2 are of a 13hh pony I used to ride called Toby. He was very fizzy and used to enjoy throwing his head down mid canter so that u would go flying over his head.

And finally a more recent one of my first time in the saddle after about an 8 year break

Great pictures! You started early then

You look surprisingly nice and comfy in that last one

Hi,

Yeah I got the riding bug after that first time on holiday. My parents agreed to let me start having lessons as soon as we got home. Oh how I bet they regretted that decision! It cost them a fortune over the years. lol

I wish I'd of started riding sooner. You'd think I would, my grandparents worked in the racing business and my dad had horses until he left to join the army at 18. It just never even crossed my mind!

Do you have your own horse now?

No, I dont have my own horse anymore sadly, I sold my last horse when I was 15 due to my illness.

I would love to own another horse now but its just not practical with the very long hours I work.
