Milly and her new Jimmy Choos !!!

FINALLY Milly got her shoes on today!

She has really been in the wars lately with the laminitis going from bad to worse and them getting riddled with abcesses in her back feet. So after weeks of box rest, polticing and hard work her 'glue on' imprint shoes have been fitted.
They are not the most attractive things going but i noticed a change in her walking for the better straight away. Fingers crossed that she will keep improving. The farrier still seems hopeful.

So here she is from a couple of weeks ago when i was doing the polticing and tubbing:

I gotta say, she looks 10 x better then the last photo I saw of her (ridden i think), shes lost tones of weight!

Glad shes getting better, shes a lovely mare.

Emm, she has been really good and i'm so pleased that she doesn't seem to have been too traumatised by the whole thing!

Sarah - i've got my fingers crossed that she is on the mend now.

Rhea - yes she does look better as she has lost loads of weight. She wasn't as fat as some ponies i've seem but i feel very bad for even letting her get over weight in the first place. I have definitely learnt me lesson the VERY hard way...and so has Milly!

I know what your mean, Sisco wasn't as fat as some I've seen but he came down with it very bad, Now I hardly ever let him have treats, make sure he has the same amount of feed, small potions, they others are on the same, after that scare they get treated like they've had lami too
