Chloe at her first ridden show with Jack

So my little brother had my camera today so most pics were taken by him, I told him to take lots but didnt realise how many he had taken till I started uploading to photobucket
So then I had the hard decission of picking the best pics, so pic overload (as per usual from me!)

This was the first time Chloe has ridden Jack since breaking her wrist so I entered her in the lead rein classes, she did so well and im very proud of her and Jack.

First up was young handler, she had to walk away from Judge and trot back then walk him around the ring, I walked on the outside incase Jack decided the green grass was just too temping!
Tbh he was being a bit of a brute and just wanted to stop and eat - why walk around in circles when the grass is so lush, Jacks mind is single tracked towards - FOOD!!!!!
There were 4 in the class and Chloe got 3rd which was brilliant, its not easy keeping a food orientated Fell pony under control on a patch of lush grass!!!

So then she did her ridden class, again there were 4 in the class
She did some practising on the tarmac before going in the ring which was a doddle as there was no temptations for Jack under hoof!

The whole aim of the day was to have fun, as it was Chloes first show I wanted to show her how much fun it was so we made a special effort with the fancy dress, can you guess what they were?







There were some great costumes!



This pony was the wolf and there were 3 little girls dressed as piglets, I was amazed that the pony didnt mind the mask!!!

Its been a fab day and I was supposed to be taking Vel tomorrow but im so exhausted that im not going to bother, he is quite dirty so would have needed a bath which im not up for today plus its a bit on the cold side outside!
So its been a great day and Chloe now knows how much fun showing can be!

He had bells attached to his breastplate so I was a bit worried he would freak at the noise but I should have know the steady boy he is couldnt have cared less, in fact he loved the fancy dress class!!!!!
