Default Little Ted update

Well, the new yard is fantastic. I've been riding six days a week and there is always someone to do something with.

Stable - Ted now likes his stable and neighs to be brought in. He is very chilled and doesn't stress out at all, even when other horses are taken out in the morning before him. He is, however, officially the dirtiest pony ever! Somehow he manages to mash poo into everything and it takes ages to muck out in the morning, even though I only take out the wet every four or five days (tried leaving it a week, but he pees a LOT).

I've just been away for two weeks, so he is looking a little fatter and very hairy.

Generally he is still a grumpy, stubborn little ***, but I am having loads of fun. Ended up in fits of laughter the other day, as he was determined he wasn't going over a small jump. My friend said the look on his face was great - he's very expressive when he doesn't want to do something. Schooling is still pretty rubbish, but never mind.

Exciting news - am going to my first ever dressage test next Wednesday (walk and trot at Forest Edge). The YO offerered to take a friend and me after she heard we were looking to doing online dressage comps. How nice is that. Such a change from my last yard. We have been practising, but basically we are terrible. Mainly due to the fact that he refuses to listen to me, so it is a bit like an exercise in manhandling the pony. Am really looking forward to it though.

So that is it really. I had a lovely holiday in Dorset, but am enjoying being back with my lad. I sometimes think that no other fool would try to get him to do dressage, but I reckon he enjoys it really. Just likes to pretend he doesn't.

Hope you are all well.

Catherine and (of course) the Ted monster.

Great to hear from you!! Sounds like a great yard! Best of luck with the dressage, I'm sure you'll both have a blast anyway

hi Catherine. So glad you had a lovely holiday
And so please to read that Ted has settled in to the new place so well. And that you are both happy and getting on so well.
Make sure you get some piccies of the dressage comp for us.
Good luck with it...
Didn't Ted go to schooling camp then in the end?
