Hi, well im off work ill today so what better way to spend it than update you lot as most of you asked on our other thread!
Shes been backed over 2 months now! Shes walk, trotting and cantering, changes the rein, cirlces, etc all when asked, circles are a working progress but shes only ridden 3 times a week at the max and that with hacking out too ... she LOVES hacking out and is pretty much bombproof now! and VERY nosey. she's quite forward but is starting to feel alot more balanced when schooling now which is great
She's a bit tense and has her head up alot in the ridden footage as shes teething LOADS lately, its awful, takes her a while to eat and stuff so ive not ridden her for a few days and she gets her jabs done soon so going to get him to check her teeth.
I also look appauling in these pictures, ive been ill lately and literally rode her to get some energy out of her, so with her teething and me being unwell, its not a pretty sight and probably the wrong day to film us really!!
Anyway! enough excuses! pictureeessss ...
My pretty pony! this is her new headcollar that says 'Hooligan' across the noseband bit!
Lazy little pony!
Star looking as loving as ever towards Seren! They both get soooo jealous!
Hope you enjoyed! i know shes not the poshest of ponies and her head carriage is nothing compared to some that have been backed the same length of time as her but to say she was basically just halter broken when i got her in April, and was nervous just having a rug on and basically never seen anything, shes come a long way and to me, she's absolutely brilliant! xx
I love those hooligan headcollars we have loads at work, we also have some that say Super star and Precious
she looks good dont worry about her looking 'posh' the main thing is she is sensbile, some of the posh looking horses are hardwork and difficult to deal with and at the end of the day just not fun to ride
AHHH!! SUPER STAR???? im mega jealous of that! i saw the precious one but hooligan is much more suited to seren!
Im glad you think shes brilliant too and that she looks good!! Im not even bothered about her looking all elegant and having a great headcarriage and stuff for a long long time yet! if it comes it comes but shes a baby, and i'd rather just enjoy her like you say! dont get me wrong she can be hard work but shes 3 years old at the end of the day! but i really enjoy riding her, and i felt i had lost that with Star ..... glad you like her!! xx
