Default The Snow Has Gone...

And I have hay! seems a bit pointless now but never mind.

Misson now is to find someone else to supply it, any ideas?

First thing the horses did............rolled on it, tried pushing it over because they were rubbing on it so much, not ****** eat it!

Yup, our snow is thawing very rapidly too..... thank God!! This morning when my two little monkeys were turned out, they ignored their hay and went straight to the patches of grass coming through the snow.

Glad you got some hay and I don't have any suggestions about where you can get some more from. I need to try to find some large bales of haylage which won't be easy as they prefer to deliver large quantities!

Proves the point Rhea bird that you had no need to worry in the first place, they were fine without the hay

At least as it's hay not haylage,it should last a while providing we don't get a lot of wet weather.Do you have any means of being able to cover it over?? I tarp mine, and lasts ages (I do also keep mine off the ground mind,so not sure how much that helps??),could you get a tarp over yours and tie it down so can save it for when they do need it??

I have no suggestions for a new supplier hun, apart from checking your local rag if they have an agricultural section (ours does a special horse and livestock supplement once a week, but that may just be a Devon thing),many people advertise in places like that if have a surplus of hay, straw etc.

By all means find a supplier hun,but don't be in too much of a rush to buy any,I really don't think your boy's need it just yet, save your pennies until they do.
