Hip hip hip hooray!
Have had a fab few days in the school!
Our challenge for the half term is to have Alf in a loose ring snaffle working nicely - He is normally ridden in a happy mouth dutch gag.
Monday- moved onto snaffle ring from 2nd ring of the dutch gag. Warm up consisted of transitions (walk trot halt) and all was going well so popped him over some jumps. (1'6/2'ft) Cross pole and a straight. Cleared the nicely and wasn't getting too strong which was good. Put the cross pole to a straight about 2'3 i think and picked up over that too.
Tuesday was even better. Changed his bit to the snaffleand all was good. He felt alot more relaxed and was bending well as we worked on 20m and 10m circles. Had a little tantrum after our canter (Alf and his Racehorse moments ) Went over the jumps again. Crosspole bing the same size and the straight going up a little. Going brill over them...so...i..put it up...big...(for us anyway ) 2'9 is big for a little 13.3 pony!
