Default Cyclists

How does your horse react to cyclists coming up from behind and overtaking?

Is anyone's as daft and embarrassing as mine? I put it down to him having been brought up in Holland but ...............

When a cyclist passes he sets off in hot pursuit. Unstoppably. He trots along behind them with his nose almost touching their bum if they are going uphill. On the flat he panics as they speed away and does his utmost to keep up finally slowing to a stop and looking wistfully after them.

Haha Jane that desciption made me chuckle. Sounds like it's just related to him preferring to hack out in company.

I've not had the cyclist problem but twice on two different horses I have had to use walkers to help me with a napping pony (yes Zeb was one if them) when I was struggling to get them moving past a scary horse eating object. Got them following the walkers!

At least he's not as bad as Lindy and Springer, that pair are out to wipe out all cyclists from our bridleways completely

Is he from Amsterdam? Maybe it's a lycra fetish thing

Tilly's as good as gold with cyslists, I used to ride her on a cycle greenway at the old yard so she got used to them. It was the mobility scooters with a dog in a basket on the front that used to freak her out

Razzle is just to thick (or brave) to be remotely worried by cyclist Jenna trotted him up a hill today with kids on bikes coming down the hill.

I hate cyclists with a passion - they sneak up behind you and then wonder why the horse freaks out!!!!

Jane you make me laugh with Stan's antics!

That made me laugh! Saffy is ok with cyclists now but she used to jump out of her skin at first. To be fair to her though, it was me that jumped first It does my head in when they come up silently behind you and ring their ****** bell just as they are about to overtake. My nerves can't take it!
