Default Things not going to plan

I'm going to have a little moan sorry so if your not interested, hit the back button now...

Basically, I am struggling for time to fit everything in so am having to make a few dramatic changes to the things I really want to be doing.

As you know, I now have three jobs. I work as a groom on a miniature pony sowing yard, teach part time at a local riding school and teach/lecture for the local pony club. I am shattered, feel so drained and just want to sleep all the time. This on top of having four horses of my own, and riding a friends horse in prep for a ODE I am doing next month, I am really not fitting it all in and the thing that seems to be effected most by it is my own horses

Obviously I can't just stop working would be fab if I could but sadly I like all of us, need money to live

So....

I'm going to have to stop riding my mates TB and bang goes the idea of competing him (sorry Bimba). I love riding this horse, would love to buy him for myself and I really want to compete him but I just haven't got the time. I am also feeling stupidly guilty about riding him in my only spare hour in the day when I could use that hour to do something with my ponies. I will still ride this horse if mate would like me to when I can, but I don't think the competing is going to happen

As for my lot. Kiwi is only in light work but I want to kind of cherish every moment as with his arthritis, he can go fab for a couple of weeks, then need a couple of months off, just changes so much. Abbey is currently off work due to back problems, got my magic back lady coming out on Monday to sort her out (McTimoney). My sharer is away for 2weeks so Dylan and Lewyn are having a holiday! Lewyn is now for sale as some of you may have seen on my facebook. Not had much interest in him but hopefully someone will buy him soon. He is such a fab kids pony and has been there done that over the past two years. Once Lewyn has sold, I am going to possibly offer my sharer to take Dylan on full loan, which will be fab for her and Dylan and mean that I will be cutting from 4 horses down to 2 which will make my life much simpler!!

So, lots of possible changes coming up, some good and some not so good but all for the best I think

Sorry to hear you're struggling so much :/

I think you're being sensible in your decisions, maybe after you've sorted your ponies out you can head back to competing this lovely TB? Things will definitely improve for you after you've made these big decisions.

I hope Lawyn finds a lovely home, good luck

Sounds like a sensible idea, if you only have 1 hour spare a day then you would definately be wanted to spend that with your horses, I know I would.

Gosh your a busy bee arnt you, keep up the hard work, it will all pay off!

CTTW - No I won't be going back to the TB. There are a couple of other things which have helped to make my decision not to compete him but I don't want to go into them on here. The main thing is lack of time but the whole thing hasn't really gone to plan anyway.
Are you offering Lewyn a home??? Sold if you want him I would LOVE for him to go to an EW'er

VM - Not riding the TB gives me a much bigger break in between jobs so if I want to ride my horses etc I can but (like today) I can also just chill out home, or catch up on some sleep. Teaching until 10pm at night followed by having to be up at 6am for the Mini's isn't fun!

At least your days are spent with horses.. Although my job pays well I'm either out travelling to meetings or stuck in the office. My request to go part time was turned down. The earlier I can get to the yard at night is around 6pm if I got straight after work. At least at the moment I don't have to be up until 6:45amish but in the winter there'll be the joy of mucking out before work so back to 6am starts, boo!

Hugs~ i know how you feel since ive been out of action with my leg, ive had hardly any money coming in, spent little to no proper time with the horses. I think youve made the right decision though and im sure things will become easier.
