Default opinions please......

Hey, please can some of you have a look at this on horsemart and tell me what you think?? It would be for my daughter who is 10 and has been having lessons and is a good little rider but can lack confidence sometimes. I think this might be the one!!

Thanks

Is it the little piebald?
If so, its not done much and is quite young - doesn't mention how she is in the school - depends what your daughter wants to do with it

hey chescar, was pleased to hear all going well with aero. She mainly wants to hack and have her weekly lessons on her, the lady says she hasnt done a great deal of schooling, she will happily walk, trot in circles, figure of eights etc...but would be completely lost if it came to flying changes going on the bit other than by chance but thinks she would easily be able to learn. The long term plan would be to bond and enjoy this summer and over winter then next spring depending on how things were going join pony club. She says she is excellent in traffic and hacking in company and alone. Am thinking of going to see her

A sweet pony. Pretty head.

The main thing that strikes me is that she is long in the back and quite heavy on the forehand. A bit of a ewe neck? Neck seems to be very low set.

Thanks - yes Aero is a nice boy - he is growing on me - still miss my Troy though and would have him back tomorrow if I could.

Go and have a look - Good that your daughter will still be having lessons - looks like a nice horse.

I think shes a lovely pony.

I would though, ask for a trial run, although they say shes excellent in traffic/open spaces you really need to see it for your selfs.

Will you be having her vetted?

I would ask if they backed her and if so how long ago?

How many owners has she had.

Ever had the dentist etc out.

Hmmmm I ditto Fofo I think she looks very long in the back and too heavy up front. I also think 4 could just be too young. I know the idea is for your daughter to bond but I would maybe want to be looking at a 6 year old upwards as if the horse is still learning and so is your daughter.
Plus you say your daughter can lack confidence at times so maybe a green horse is not the way to go.
She is beautifully marked and if the ad is honestly written she could be a super little pony but I just think its the age that would worry me really.
But there is no harm in looking at all and I'm sure you will know more when you see her.

Sorry if this sounds a bit negative as she does look a very pretty little mare and maybe totally different when you see her.

Pretty mare but looking physically immature to me and not something I would consider for a 10yr old girl.

For the same price you can buy an older pony with tonnes more experience.

Personally I think you can something much better and much more suitable for the same amount of money
