Default Our first attempt at jumping :)

we were both in a bit of a 'cant be bothered' mood and tired from the past couple of days hard work, so it certainly wasnt easy or enjoyable, but we eventually got a couple! all with the help of Miss Clippi who gave us different things to try and do when it really wasnt going very well!! Xanders idea of a jump is to crash through it if its moveable or scramble over if its solid and no, i have no idea what i was doing - i was just trying to concentrate on getting him over and not falling off

Thanks all

Chelle83 he's a friesian, 4yrs and only just started.

VM, he was funny! I couldn't be annoyed with him not doing it properly because I didn't have the energy to do it properly either!!! He was so sweet how he was all back to front and knocking everything over and just standing there like he was proud of himself!!!

On the attempts where he didn't just barge through it or step over it but didn't jump properly either, he didn't cat leap, but either stepped with his front feet and jumped with the back ones, and most commonly jumped with the front then just stepped with the back like he gave up half way across - hilarious!!! You must try with Vel! The xc thing sounds good, I'd like that. Apart from all the cantering! It's still freaking me out

Ps I know he CAN jump though he'll never do well (nor will I, I don't really like it either) as when he was away he jumped xc fences, ditches, all sorts. But obviously riders like that can get any horse to do anything
