Default Horsebox Repair - Fantastic Service...

Anyone in North / East Yorks or North Lincs looking for horsebox repairs, purchase or trailer servicing read on...

The level of service I've received today from a couple of blokes who trade as Beston Fabrications in Market Weighton was absolutely top top notch.

I took Alfie down (the old steady away VW LT 35D I bought in June) as I was getting a hernia trying to lift the ramp (to be more truthful I was unable to do it unassisted!) This was stopping me from taking Satin away on her own as I'd have to rely on the Moors on helpful walkers / sheep to lift the ramp.

I've spoken to a number of fabricators about the old chap and the majority were either dismissive out of hand, or quoted astronomical prices. Steve from Beston however seemed friendly and approachable, so I trundled across...

Having found my box to have non standard springs (blooming typical!) the lads quickly set about cutting springs and fitting them to the vehicle, followed by their ramp test and then checking I could lift it, showing me the 'throwing the ramp' technique. A few other bits and bobs were also sorted with amazing ease on their part and not once was I pressured into getting more work done than needed. Even Alfie's housebrick aero-dymanics when mentioned by me wasn't met with the usual "we'll sort that for you, needs doing, will cost XXX" but instead by "don't think it'll really make a vast difference cost wise with what you're intending but the cheapest way, and you may be able to do this yourself would be X Y and Z..." The price was also a nice surprise, very very reasonable

I have trundled back on cloud 9. It's not common sadly nowadays that you come across service that's above what you expect but today I did, so a massive thank you to Beston and I'll look forward to taking Satin out lots more (though an exam on Monday is grounding me this weekend )

Certainly when he needs anything else I'll be straight back there, and with the amount of sharks out there in the horse box world I thought I'd share these guys with you all in case anyone needs anything. They're worth a ring, just tell them Herbie sent you

If anyone wants contact details and hasn't googled, just pm me and I'll send you their details.
