Default Adding to the EW roll call.... Introducing.....

Bobby Dazzler - aka Dazzle!

Milo's new BFF

Long looking legs in his advert photo (he isn't quite as lanky as this seems to show!)

Inspecting the new facilities

So I actually viewed and bought this little cutie nearly 3 weeks ago, but due to some things I didn't want to let the cat out of the bag until he actually here!

So the husband came home this week and we went to pick up my fab new trailer (very posh!) then went to get Dazzle (finally - i've been so itching to tell you all!) - he loaded like a pro and we brought him home and introduced him to his new mate, over the fence at first - they were doing high pitches squeals at each other, it was very amusing! Then chucked Milo in the field and he ran around like a mad thing wanting Dazzle to play, but I kept Dazzle in the yard, then after some work with Milo on the trailer (see later) let them in the yard with each other and they have been in love ever since!

Dazzle is listed in his passport as a Shetland X, but no other information, but the owner said he thought it was a Mini X Regular Shetland, as there is a couple missing pieces in his history. He's only 2.5 years old, but been well handled, will take a bit and a bridle or harness, but not yet broken - but very settled and not fussed at weight over his back so might not take much to turn him into a lead rein or first ridden. He is very gentle and affectionate and so far his favourite thing seems to be the HorseLyx He has also taken to wandering into the tack room to help himself to carrots (as he's small enough to do this, but getting out again is a little more difficult as there isn't much room to turn!).

Both him and Milo had their little pedicures this afternoon and he stood quite well considering he's only just arrived.

As for the big fella and the trailer - well, I faffed about for nearly 2 hours with him on Wednesday afternoon/evening, and only managed to get him in the trailer once after trying a variety of different methods - then this morning brought this husband out to help and we had him loaded in about 5 minutes the first time, then after that loaded him another half dozen times with no problems at all, he just wandered right in?!

So tomorrow is the big day for me and Milo - lesson booked and we're off to get back on board

I have more photos of Dazzle, but the internet connection is playing up, so I'll post more another time, promise!

p,s - sorry about the small photos - these are showing as "large" on FB, but their pixel dimensions are showing as much smaller when they post on here?!?!?!?! Will try and get it sorted out?!

Hee hee Gem!

BTW - I bought a Mini collar and a fully adjustable pony collar, but the mini is just a bit too small (see photos) and the adjustable is too big (I had to stick a new hole or two in it!) - am now going to try a foal size! - so if you PM me your address I'll send you the mini one for Jasmine (it's deep purple) if you want it.
