Horseylover can tell one end of a horse from the other
Default Proof of the importance of hi-viz

I'm not sure how well the image will work. If the image doesn't work properly then I can send whoever's interested a link to the image

My friend showed me this the other day. Roll your mouse over the photograph to see the difference before and after hi-viz.

Doesn't seem to work either. But I had an experience when I was hacking out on monday. I was wearing a yellow hi viz jacket and I had Arfurs reflective sheet on and then S on Jasper had just a pink tabard on. My dad was driving down the road we were going down and it was getting that sort of time where the light isn't the best and he said he didn't realise S and Jasper was with me until he got quite close. Thankfully I was on the inside but he said he could see me from miles off! So also please don't wear this fad colours, just go with the good seeable orange and yellow!

It's funny you should say that, I was trying to convince someone exactly the same thing a few days ago. They were insisting that research had proven pink was easier for drivers to see than yellow. I never got round to googling it, but I'm sure that pink is a darker colour than yellow and therefore it should be less fluorescent?!

its all about contrast, bright yellow doesnt contrast as well as pink, especially against green foliage.

any hi viz is better than non...should be made compulsory IMO...for cyclists and walkers, the amount of dog walkers i pass in the dark at night walking in the road is enormous, i have to drive on my guard all the time....just stupid to put them and drivers at risk....put it on!
