ok i havent been showjumping for years but will be this year.
I used to wear white jods, long boots, black jacket with velvet collar, white shirt and stock, black velvet skull cover. I shall be wearing the same when I go this summer unless things have changed.
XC I used to wear dark jods, riding boots, BP, certified skull with dark silk, long sleeves and gloves, back when I did XC a BP was optional, I believe it is now compulsory but dont know if its compulsory for SJ.

it didnt used to, but i havent competed since i was about 22, thats a long time ago, I have no idea whether you need a specific colour now tho. I used to wear navy jods most of the time.

I wouldnt go for black wiuld go navy instead black washes people out too much and isnt generally worn by women i would go navy instead although there are some lovely grey and chocolate jackets at the moment, XC i would always still wear cream jods you can wear any colour top you want but long sleves are a must a skull cap is a must and co ordinate you shirt and silk usually body protector are compulsory XC but not for SJ

Body Protectors are compulsary for XC as are I believe skull caps. You shouldnt wear a fixed peak hat for XC.
Usually beige jods and any colour jumper are fine for basic events.
For show Jumping just a navy jacket with a stock and shirt, white jos and long boots or jod boots with gaiters. Not sure if hairnets are a must but they are smarter you should be okay with a skull cap for showjumping with a velvet cover.
