Default Nearly had a heart attack to day !

So today I thought I would give him some time out side with out his dad walking him about. Long rope fixed to a tree left him munching on the grass, 10 mins later stuck my head out of the door to have a look see.

No Armas heart nearly stopped we have 30 acres where could he be, all kinds of things going through my mind luckily spotted him with in 5 mins he was munching on the grass where he met Rusty the previous day.

I approached him did not shy away no games and led him back to the stables.
Once he was safe and sound in his box I returned to the tree I tied him up to thinking the knot had come undone and how could I be so stupid. It was not the knot that had come undone the d ring on the spring clip on to his head collar had snapped in half it was only 4 days old grrrrr.

Back to the shop and gave them some grief and expecting a fight but the shop was mortified and gave me a mountain climbing caribina as a replacement ;-)
Thus no more heart attacks for his dad.

Before he went awol ;-)

He seems like a very level headed, sane and sensible chap. Glad you didn't lose him!

Dont tie him to a tree unattended perhaps? things are meant to break anyway if he broke it its becasue he has pulled back hard on it and if the ropes, clip, or knot doesnt give then it ends up being your horse instead which is a far worse thing

Nothing wrong with tying to a tree or anywhere else so long as tied with quick release knot and a bit of twine or similar that snaps easily.

Anyway, no harm done so thats the main thing. Is there anytime that this horse doesn't look simply gorgeous?
