Default Wiggles lesson & Ben update

Busy busy day! Got woken up by a phone call at 7.30 (on my one day off!) from the guy who runs the place Bens at to say he's gashed his back leg and do I mind if they call the vet? Cue me flying out of bed thinking he's cut his leg bad enough to need the vet what the hecks he done?! We've got no idea how he's done it, vet thinks he probably caught himself with his other foot when he got up but even then its quite impressive given that he's barefoot!
He's got it bandaged up, 3 days of antibiotic injections then a week of norodine. Vet said she'd rather he was put on box rest to be on the safe side but obviously that will then cause more problems with his back! Urgh horses!!

So after that little drama I got home and managed to persuade my unhorsey mum to come down and take pictures of Wigs lesson for me.
Got him tacked up and started warming him up..and hit the deck! I was only on him for 5 minutes, I'd said to mum start taking pictures once he's warmed up and working..wish I hadn't cos it must've looked hilarious! YO walked out of the barn just as we came trotting round the corner, for some reason that was terrifying so we span..and I just flopped off the side 17.3 is a LONG way down! Being the charming horse he is he hooked off out the school back to his stable and left me to it!

But it has to be said he did redeem himself after that little incident & we had a really productive lesson. I'm just going to feel it in the morning!
I'm really pleased with how he's looking at the moment, just a shame I'm riding like a numpty!

Canter was farrr too exciting!

But settled pretty quickly, being sillys too much effort

As you can see in these vids we get a little carried away with the cantering and loose some of our brakes!

Mini eggs for everyone who got to the end!

Wiggles looks so lovely in the photos and videos, you ride him really nicely. Hope you're not feeling too stiff tomorrow, 17hh is definitely a long way to fall -- I think thats the sole reason I prefer ponies!
Oh, and hope Ben heals up nice and quick! They do know how to be awkward, don't they?

Thanks Not as white as he manages to look in the pictures though! There's a massive stain under his belly that I wasn't quite mean enough to wash off before I rode him!

I know! I've swapped my night out for a night in with a glass of wine & dvd..can already feel my back and I've got 15 horses to do in the morning. At least it was a silly flop off the side fall instead of high speeds like my usual ones. Sure your meant to be older than 20 before you stop bouncing?!
