Default Riding & jumping all 3 ponies yesterday

Had the best day yesterday.

Got up to Colby bright and early. Colby has picked up lots of weight and is starting to look well again. He hasnt been ridden much due to trying to get weight back on. Sharer rode him the day before, but apart from that he has only been ridden once in a month.

I went into the school, and decided to put a little x pole up as havent jumped him in months, and wanted to be sure i keep doing the odd one so as to keep my confidence up.

Colby was a little fresh. He wanted to go fast, so we had a little bit of an issue with him trying to pull away from me and go round with his head in the air. He was also incredibly strong, and i was quite tense.

All that aside, i was adament i would pop the x pole as it was only tiny.

Some schooling pics. Please excuse my tenseness and know my styrrups are too short!

Giraffe :/

zooom -

Starting to calm down;

Jump. Colby LOVES jumping. Took me by surprise how keen he jumped it!

Massive massive accomplishment for me, considering im petrified lol and only do trotting poles/slightly raised poles prior to now!

Came home and was buzzing so decided to jump Ferds and Digs with my friend lol.
Ferdie greyer than ever

Digs

Me and Ferds;

My friend hadnt jumped for years, so told her Digs would be fine (he is, you just have to ride him, whereas Ferdie, you turn, aim and cling on!)

He refused 3 x as she didnt ride him hard enough. Told her to give him a tap with her whip

He did it from stand still, took her by surprise as he leaps;

oooops -

So she had a trot/canter round;

Ferdie finds it all too excitable

and looses control :/

I got on Digs to try make him jump the log straight off.

He slowed, so i smacked him and we catapulted over

I stayed on though

Such great boys, each so different but equally lovely!

Colby can give it a pop when he wants too can't he! I saw these on Facebook they are great photos. Ferdie doesn't look grey, too me it just looks like a roan colour so he hides it well hehe x

I think Ferdie looks very dashing in roan - and actually to look at those photos you'd think he was the baby of the family, not Colby!
