Default who looks after your horses while you are on hol?

just nosey really
i am going away to sunny Egypt soon.
YO is looking after Kay and the lady who i rent the field from is looking after B and Pig for me.
ive left my vet details and things to watch out for, like Pigs laminitis and Pigs dodgy tendon.....
Pig and Bey will be checked 2-3x a day and all i need doing is giving them a few carrots so they can have their legs checked and checking that Bey hasnt jumped out over the leccy fence (again and again!have put stallion posts in now and made section lots bigger so hope she stays in!)
kaya will still out living out rugged, checked 2x day and all she needs is poo picking, net of hay each day and small feed, check legs....
argh i hardly ever go away and leave them to be looked after by someone else, its stressing me out!!!

My friend and I share our yard and arrange our holidays so that the other one can look after them all. It's great as we handle each others horses daily anyway, and the horses know us both well etc. It's so nice having someone you really trust to take care of your horses.

Hope you have a fab holiday x

My mum usually, but failing that Nic.

I'm very picky who I leave them with, if we're away for any length of time and my mum and Nic aren't available I send them to my instructors yard on livery.

Holiday, what's that! I hven't had a Holiday since I was at School,(many, many moons ago!). I run my own business and keep my horses at home. My parents are non horsey and terrified of them, so it's only me who delas with them. Even in the Summer they come in at night, as I don't have enough grass for them to be out 24/7. There's just never a chance to get away!

I just dont go on holiday!
For my birthday me and mum went away for a weekend and Dennis and Kizzie just got a bale of hayledge on the yard and left to roam free and dad just kept an eye on water and them looking ok, mine are at home but im not about to try and explain to dad how to do everything, kizzie would just take the **** and Dennis isnt very good with men that try to ask him to do things, he only liked men if they were feeding him
