i have just the yard when its really bad at home, at work we have a all weather sand type school thats not very good for riding so we use for turnout everything goes out for about two hours a day on it
That was my number 1 criteria when I was looking for a yard. So few places seem to have it. At my new place there's a rota so they go out in pairs and every horse gets at least 3hrs a day. Saf has a 4hr time slot
A lot of my friends live over your way and they are always complaining about lack of turnout. They are always threatening to bring them over here for a day at the weekend to pinch mine! It is a long winter when they are in 24/7.
I fortunately have plenty of grass, too much for my three and have turnout all year round. I have two paddocks one is now resting and they have moved up to the top. My paddocks are very well drained and hardy get muddy even in the worst of weathers, my friends always comment about them. We are very fortunate to have what we have.
