Cancara can tell one end of a horse from the other
Thumbs down Ouch

I am in paaain! I have been collecting fairly minor injuries all this week and now am really feeling sorry for myself.

On saturday my dogs pulled me over, really not their fault, I wasn't looking, cleaning up after one, there was a loose dog with them and they were playing on flexi leads and suddenly changed direction! So have a hugely skinned elbow and heel of one hand.

However as you probably guessed most of my injuries are horse related.

-Sunday, bruised leg with wheelbarrow full of muck. Stubbed toe on wall when not looking where I was going at yard.
-Monday, got foot stood on by a non-cooperative Ella in inhand schooling
-Today- badly sprained thumb by LEANING on it when mounting. D'oh. Had the OTHER foot firmly trodden by large pony suddenly trying to escape big boss mare at gateway.

I am covered in bumps and marks! My foot hasn't half swollen. Anyone else sporting minor injuries at present?

deary me you are in the wars! Can I just say that you need to make sure you are getting enough sleep and relaxation as these injuries may be a result of being sluggish due to the stress you are under at the minute chick? When mom was ill last year year and I was stressed and tired and rushing about everywhere, I picked up similar sort of injuries (lost a toenail, damaged nerves in finger, sustained a head injury due to being swiped by a rather hard Raife head lol etc), all would likely have been avoided if I had been "on the ball" so to speak.
Rest up, relax, and hope your injuries heal soon! xxx

Oh and if you are worried about your foot, or swelling doesnt ease, get it looked at!

Ouch indeed! Hope they all heal up quick and you cause yourself no further injury!

I am just generally ill but for a chance not a bruise in sight! Normally I have at least one which I don't know where it came from! I do have various plasters over my arm and hand thoough following a blood test as nurse tried various places for a vein as couldn't find them!

Very perceptive and you are right! My therapist said a lot of my being uncoordinated, forgetful, lost at times was related to the anxiety and stress, making it hard to focus and as you say, pay attention to what I am doing. The fact that I've got less sleep lately (it's just been SO HOT!) has only made it worse.

My foot is sooo sore! But I am keeping an eye and it looks like just a cracker of a bruise. I am thanking my lucky stars that pony did not have shoes on! It's just been my week for mini disasters really. *sigh*

Roulette stood on my toe a few months back and broke part of the nail off...the nail then proceeded to go in to the flesh at the side of my toe then popped out the top of my toe a few weeks down the line. It's still proper manky now even though I've had 4 lots of anti-biotics! Horse huh who would have them!

ouch! Hopefully they'll all heal up quickly!

My only injurie (*touch wood*) at the moment is a scabby elbow from being head butted into a wall putting a ponies bridle on! My other injury being slight whiplash from Donny Darko's bucking bronco antics last sunday! haha

Ouch, what Julia said was exactly what I thought, when things weren't great here I was even more in the wars than I normally am.

But in general I have bruises all over my body and half the time I have no idea where from haha!!

Hey me too! Do you think it's a horse or animal thing?! I seem to have them all the time since I had the dogs and Ella!

I have been very aware of my scrapes and bruises because mum is taking me to ladies day at the races on Saturday and we are in the very posh end so I need to look presentable. At the moment I'm going to look like I spend my spare time cage fighting!

I am desperately wishing it was Ella who'd trod on both feet! She's so sharp that she lands, I yelp and she leaps off, plus she has tiny feet. Pony (with huge feet ) is also very VERY laid back.. so it was like this...

Pony.. Get out the way, I'm getting my bottom bitten!!

(Front foot lands firmly on mine. My face immediately goes purple and I'm pinned to the spot)

Pony... Are we stopping here?
Handler... Agh!! Agh!!
Pony... seriously, are we stopping here? Cos I can nearly reach that grass *leans forward applying more weight to foot*
Handler... Agh!! Agh!! Gerroff Gerroff!! **tapping shoulder hard with hand**
Pony... what's up with you? Do you want me to stand still?
Handler... Agh!!!! Agh!!! Me foot Me foot Me foot!!!
Pony... Ooooh look at that chicken...
Handler.. Move!! Move!!! For the LOVE OF GOD MOVE!!
Pony... I tell you what, I'm just going to go and eat that grass, let me know when you're ready to go do something 'kay? *Puts extra squish on foot and goes to eat grass outside gateway*
*Handler slams gate shut to avoid whole herd escaping, hops around and turns air blue*
