Default Anyone else still not riding??

Am I the only one with a yard still full of ice???

The last time I rode was 13th December, our yard and car park has been like an ice skating rink for weeks now and it is only just getting better. Just wondered if anyone else is still struggling to ride?

Hoping to get out tomorrow as the yard has gone a bit slushy, all depends what the weather does over night though

Not only am I not riding, but I'm not really able to spend any quality time with either of my boys.

They live out 24/7 and the weather has been so bad that all I can do is feed and check under their rugs for warmth, rubs and leaks.
I'm so fed up.

Hopefully a stable will become free soon and I'm goin to see if I can rent it so at least there'll be somewhere dry and warm to bring them to for a good check over.

I havent ridden since way before Christmas. Hadn't been able to get to my yard because of snow (and Im in Hertfordshire), went yesterday but carpark which we have to cross to get off yard is inches thick with ice. Was also raining, so just got beastie in and gave her a nice groom. She must have been feeling itchy under her rug and appreciated a scratch so much that she actually gave me a bit of groom too. Very unusual for her.

Feeling a bit guilty but she seems fine. Worst thing is, I will ache so much when I get back in the saddle.

ME! But I'm hoping when I go to the yard tomorrow it will be clear enough to turnout and then I can ride in the afternoon when he's let off some steam, or else the next day.
