Default Dressage legal bits

I usually use a french link hanging cheek snaffle for dressage but Troy is hanging on to the right side of it.

Had his teeth checked a month ago and he had a broken tooth which is now fixed. However, he is still hanging on to the right side of his bit which makes it difficult to steer right.

I thought it was the way i ride, but he does it for my trainer too. I have put it down to him thinking it could still be sore?

is there a dressage legal bit where he cant hang on to it?

Ta

maybe try a myler, dont think you will appreciate the price tag lol, they are now dressage legal (not if they have the hooks on though), becasue they have independant side movement they can be really handy for a horse that leans on one side, other than that a loose ring? although you might not get as nice a flextion out of him without the hanging cheek.

it can be quite annoying finding dressage legal bits as you tend to find something perfect that you cant ride in, althogh most people dont tack check and i know a few round us dont ride in legal bits, you could jsut ride him a none legal bit and claim to not know if your found out, ooo sneaky!

What about a french link loose ring? Won't be so hard for him to hang off that.

I'd say try a comfort barrel snaffle myler, maybe see if you can find someone who can lend you one to try as they are quite expensive to buy although you can sometimes find second-hand ones cheaper on ebay.
